Wonky rainbow

We bought a house this summer and immediately signed a contract to gut and renovate it. The project took much longer than expected and my family and I moved into a construction zone. We all slept together in the floor in the partially finished basement and "lived" on the small sun porch. We finally moved in Christmas Eve! What a gift. Needless to say, it was an adventure- and nothing was going to stop me from sewing! This is the quilt I made sitting in a tiny space on the floor and using a TV tray to set up my machine. My daughter wanted rainbows and stars for her bedroom. At 6, she is her own, unique person. I call her my ninja princess. The "wonky star" is perfect for her. (Although, when I presented it to her she said, "Mommy, I like it, but I REALLY like FLOWERS!" Guess that means I get to make another quilt! :) I finally quilted it in our new kitchen on the big, built in table. What a crazy memory I have of the time spent living so closely with my family.
