flannel basket weave quilt

I fell in love with these flannel fat quarters and bought them for a baby quilt. When I bought them, it occurred to me that my sister would also love them, and I wished I could make something for her with them. She obliged me by getting pregnant with her 3rd baby, a girl, a few months later :) The flannels were harder than I anticipated to work with - so stetchy, even when starched. Not sure I would piece with flannels again anytime soon. I quilted it with an allover design of loops, hearts, and flowers.
