This was done with two layers cakes, one of them being batiks. It’s one of those patterns that you don’t have to think much about, just a lot of trimming half square triangles and pressing seams open! I quilted it on my long arm alternating ruler work and free motion quilting. By Karen2Maya 2 LIKES | 380 VIEWS Blue Log Cabin Using batik fabric and a log cabin pattern. I made this blue log quit. Thank you By callymsqc1963 13 LIKES | 770 VIEWS Garnets and Sapphires Another in the line of Quilts from my Mom. This one is a pretty recent BOM. We decided to bump it to a queen size for a wedding present. I did that by creating one more column of stars and block blocks. Took off the small colored column of blocks along the left size; put in the new column and then reattached the small blocks. Mom had always wanted to change the borders so it all worked really well to increase the size. The quilting in the blocks is spiral graph type designs to give more of a curving feel to the very geometric blocks. Then I did a meander throughout the cream with marine creatures in the 3.5 colored squares. It will make sense to the recipients. By Jean57 11 LIKES | 429 VIEWS Batik Quatrefoil Made from a stash of Batik FQs and yardage, I was on a fabric fast so that’s why there’s 2 different shades used for the background. I added another row of blocks to fit my bed.
