Musical Love

I made this quilt for a very special lady; our church Director of Music. Her music inspires me so much that I decided to present this quilt to her in gratitude for all she does for our church! Her's is the You've Got Mail pattern. The second one was made for our church pianist, who doesn't get enough credit for all she does to make our choir sound decent! Her pattern is the chevron quilt! Both of these ladies are amazing!

Shaving cream quilt

All of the pinwheels in this quilt were hand dyed using shaving cream and ink. It is such a fun art craft. My 6 year year old granddaughter help with the dying process. We created a wonderful memory and such a good time together. Because the pinwheels are so pastel and subdued I decided to jazz up the back! I also free motion quilted it.

Lena's Wacky pinwheel quilt

I made this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. When I made the wacky pinwheels I was not aware of a tool I could have purchased to make it wacky without cutting all those wedges and sewing them on the sides!!!! I also hid the name Lena calls me "Geeba" in one of the blocks. It is also the largest quilt that I have free motion quilted on my Janome 6600. I think it came out just the way I hoped it would!

Owl scrap
