She is retired now but still works with those in need. She is a real "prayer warrior" and such an amazing human being. She absolutely loves cardinals, so I had the twelve blocks machine embroidered by a very sweet lady. She even made a 13th block for a pillow. I used a very textured white minkey on the back. the quilting is simple stipple around the birds, feathers in the border and a simple loop in the little sashing blocks with white thread. We will be traveling back east this summer to give it to her in person. I just added a new photo of Sr. JD with her new quilt. By WyomingNana 21 LIKES | 681 VIEWS Brown town 2 I had a large number of brown 2 1/2" squares and a friend I wanted to make a quilt for - so I put the two together. This is my own design. I sewed the squares into nine-patches then used a 1" strip to put them together. Before sewing I planned where I would insert the blue strips so that they cross over and under each other. Each of the blue rectangles is a different fabric. I'm a lousy photographer so the pic isn't great. By Jaybe57 4 LIKES | 730 VIEWS Tea Invitation I made this panel wall hanging, with minimal quilting. I decided this week that it would be a cute doll quilt, so I added quilting to make it sturdier. The center says, "Kitty and me/invite you to tea." By Luvmypug 26 LIKES | 1301 VIEWS My favorite souvenir My husband and I just completed a cross country trip generated by my wish to go to Hamilton, Missouri. I kept a small tote by my feet for the month long trip. I decided that the souvenir material i purchased would make a great bag for traveling. I added a zippered inside pocket and a pencil pocket to the Swoon pattern. The lining is MSQC birdies.
