I'm helping my friend piece quilts for her longarm quilting business. A family wanted six memory quilts made out of their fathers/grandfathers shirts. The plaid fabric is a flannel shirt in this quilt. Shift happens, missed some points. My friend lets me use her longarm and will quilt for me in return. It's a win/win for both of us. :-)

Kimono Baby Quilt

Made this for my niece. Her daughter's nursery has a pink kimono hanging on a wall. The colors were matched to the Kate Spade drapery fabric for the nursery. The pictures were taken before I sewed on the binding in the same pink fabric as the last scalloped border.

Raggy Sheshewe Quilt

As a long time crafter I had lost my enthusiasm for creating crochet blankets in the hot South African summer. I have always loved beautiful fabrics and while browsing online I came across Jenny and her wonderful tutorials. She made quilting look easy so I thought let’s give this art form a try. Now I’m hooked. Although I am not an experienced sewer I am slowly but surely learning this craft. As you can see the effort is a bit wonky and not 100% but I have found a new love.
