Ann's likes Kitty Cat I made this one for a friend as a thank you gift. Using a charm pack plus a few quarter yard cuts, I was able to get a good sized lap quilt measuring 62" × 70". I named it Kitty Cat because of the tiny black cat in one of the prints, and because my friend is named Katherine. By AngeleeMarie 19 LIKES | 1364 VIEWS Wool Tank Tini This was an experiment. I was interested in trying some wool applique so I modified a pattern I saw for the back of the toilet. My thought was it is a small project and if I didn't like it I could just throw it away, but I liked it! I enjoyed working with the wool so I expect there will be more wool projects in the future. I used one mini charm pack of Sweet Jane fabric and added some more scraps and bits left over from other quilts to it. Hope my cousin's little one liked it. I used 3 1/2" squares of a variety of fabrics including some from Riley Blake Designs Puppy Park line. All are flannel fabric with solid flannel back. I quilted it with the "dogwood" quilting design which only seemed right! It is bordered with a scrappy pieced border in a variety of fabrics in soft grays, pinks, greens and blues. I quilted it in a free-motion loopy pattern. When I was researching ideas on Pinterest I saw these fabric origami stars. So I printed the instructions out, which were in Russian but came with pictures. Low and behold we have the Missouri Christmas Star to give away as gifts this Christmas. I was able to make 30 Stars in 2 days. My creative juices wonder if this pattern would work as a couch throw pillow. I am going to have to experiment and find out. Frond's Zuzu's Petals by Stephanie Brandenburg. Oh I waited for something special to come along and there it was, from Missouri Star Quilt Company, the tutorial for the Sashed Half Hexi!! I'm going to make a tab top hanging and put it in my office right across from my desk so I can look at it every day! How perfect!
