Sewing Mat for my Sister

I constructed a quilt with the strip method and had a bunch of 2" squares left over. I put them together to make 4-patches which grew into a 20X24" piece of fabric. I also had leftover backing and binding from other projects that had the same bright happy feel. I made this sewing mat to brighten my sister's sewing room. The pockets are a great place for glasses, seam rippers, scissors etc...

Log Cabin Quilt for our 40th Anniversary

I made this quilt to commemorate the 40th wedding anniversary of my husband and I, which is this month. Most of the fabric was from my stash, except I had to order a bit more light colored fabric and additional burgundy fabric for the backing.

Confetti Star

I love the look of batiks and love working with them. When I saw Jenny's tutorial on the Confetti Star, I knew it would look great with an assortment of batiks. I quilted it on a long arm using a pantograph. I am very happy with the way it turned out, although I didn’t think I would ever finish hand stitching the binding.

Susan's 4 patches

I separated the 2 large boxes of 2" squares Susan donated into colors and I now have 8 shoe boxes full of 2" squares. I made this using 4 patches. I thought using the squares in the border would help to use us some of them. Hope a child likes it!

Bright and Happy!

I bought this jelly roll several years ago and was unsure which pattern to use. I didn't want to lose the big flowers. This pattern was easy and fun. I think the quilting is perfect with this fabric line.

Kitchen Table

This is another of my Mom's projects. She had all of the embroideries complete and even some of the quilting. I finished the quilting, binding and even and enough left to make an apron with a stray Embroidery. When I showed it all to my Mom she said that is exactly what she was thinking she would do with the stray embroidery.
