Bothtwins' likes Blooms in Spring This quilt was made as a wedding present for my granddaughter and her new husband when they married in May 2013. Her favorite color was pink and his favorite was orange so I tried to incorporate those colors in the quilt by means of the appliqued tulips, border and backing. In piecing the background for the flowers, I tried to coordinate the jelly roll strips color-wise to simulate the ground from where the flower blooms and the sky from sunrise to night. I quilted it with a serpentine stitch and a heart in each corner. I did this several years ago when everyone was doing stack-n-whacks. I am a big fan of Asian fabrics and thought this pattern really highlighted the print. I liked it so much I did a second one for my sister. By AngieB 5 LIKES | 1237 VIEWS Shop Hop Quilt This was the Mid-Missouri shop hop quilt a few years ago. Each of the blocks came from a different quilt store. I liked the unusual way this was set together. I don't remember what pattern it is, but it was a lot of fun and pretty easy. By AngieB 4 LIKES | 1133 VIEWS «12345678...130131»
