Calicosnowman's likes Family First This is a quilt my sister requested that I do. It is the lattice quilt pattern and because there were enough spaces on the edge I was able to embroider my parents names, marriage date and all of the birthdates of my siblings. Fun project. I made this quilt top for my Aunt. My Aunt's favorite colors are pink and green. The background fabric has cream with green leaves on it. It is made of nine patch blocks alternated with another nine patch block that has four patches in the corners. I love chaining four patches. I used some vintage fabric for this quilt. I've been making quilts for all my aunts. I have one more quilt to make. I hope to quilt it tomorrow. 62" 71" By blbaughman 21 LIKES | 590 VIEWS Scrap Project I made this wall hanging from my scraps. It’s a nice size for my front porch. By Aileron18 5 LIKES | 394 VIEWS Reflections Quilt I made this quilt for my friend's son who became an Eagle Scout last year but had the awards ceremony today. He is graduating this year and going to Virginia Tech in the fall. I used solid colors for the strips (I picked out colors from the Eagle panel) and added an additional color of strips on the top and bottom of the panel. I added extra borders to make the quilt bigger since the Eagle Scout is 6'2". He plans to take the quilt to college. I quilted it with a swirl pattern from Wasatch Quilting. I used Hobbs 80/20 black batting and Omni light gray thread. I stayed up all night hand binding it for the event yesterday. 75" x 95" By blbaughman 12 LIKES | 544 VIEWS Susan's 2" squares A caring lady, Susan, sent me 2 boxes crammed full of 2" squares. They were arranged by color and fabric. This is the first of many quilts Susan's donation will allow me to make. Hope a child likes it! I think they multiply at night while I am sleeping. By Debnewcomb 11 LIKES | 429 VIEWS Pandemic Chaos This quilt is the Moda Blockheads 3 quilt. It was a block a week for all of 2020. I worked on it the whole time I was in lockdown from the Covid 19 pandemic. When I finally finished putting all of the blocks together, the quilt felt very chaotic to me and the pandemic was a chaotic time so I thought that Pandemic Chaos was an appropriate name for this quilt. It will be gifted to my sister-in-law Shelli. By dawnllee 11 LIKES | 457 VIEWS Christmas in July Placemats You can't start too early to make Christmas things.
