Iron Quilter Test Quilt (Windmill pattern)
Update: I added a border, quilted a dragonfly pattern with my longarm and finished hand binding this quilt. - This is a test quilt by my quilt guild to see if we could get a 50" x 60" quilt top completed in three hours. My quilt guild plans to have an Iron Quilter Competition this fall. Our test team consisted of three sewers ( I was one of the sewers :-) ), one cutter and one ironer. We were told a theme (flower garden) and had to come up with a pattern from memory, using fabrics provided. We could choose additional fabrics from a supplemental group of fabrics. I came up with the pattern (MSQC Windmill pattern) to use. I'm currently making a Windmill quilt for my cousin. We did make this quilt in under three hours from start to finish. :-) We do plan to add another border of the flower fabric. This quilt will either be donated or raffled off at our quilt show next spring. The hot pink color was our challenge fabric given 2/3 of the way through. 60" x 76"
