Nikki's Wedding Quilt
My friend got married last May. It was an out-of-town affair; I was getting ready to go to seminary and I think the stress of everything left me sick. I didn't even make it to the wedding. I finished the quilt top and wanted to quilt it myself, but I was paralyzed with fear. Finally realized I didn't want to practice quilting on a gift so I sent it to MSQC in January. It turned out beautifully and I'm so proud to give it to her. It was made from a kit with Lottie Da fabric by Free Spirit. I just loved it when I saw it. The bright colors just looked like her. I think I got it in under the wire too. Don't you have a year to give a wedding gift? Anyway, I finished the binding this morning and it's going in the mail on Monday. I'm on a roll -- have a quilt to bind for my husband and boxing another up for quilting by my favorite Missouri Quilters. At this time, when I'm so busy with reading and studying and praying, God's grace has shown me to take time for creative pursuits. It's OK. Now I have to stop procrastinating writing a sermon!
