My friend is having a little boy so I thought the colors worked well. By julz1219 15 LIKES | 976 VIEWS Garden of Eden Charm Quilt I have had a stash of 30's fabrics for years. When Missouri Star had a packet of 30's color charms, I knew what I needed to do. I made this quilt for my hairdresser, who is expecting her first baby girl. I wanted this quilt to be a medal of honor for his work with students everyday. So I challenged myself to make a medal in the center with curves using only straight lines. The Tri Rec tools helped. By gwen 18 LIKES | 1199 VIEWS Navajo Code Talker I had seen this kit in a quilting catalog several times and liked it more and more each time I saw it. I finally purchased it and this is the result. I absolutely love how it turned out. Each strip within the blocks has a different quilting pattern. That was fun to dd. By mlp55304 27 LIKES | 1642 VIEWS D4P from stash I have been trying to use some of my stash fabrics and challenged myself to make at least one stash only quilt for each "new" quilt I make. These 2 charm packs have been sitting in my stash for a few years now. By Asta 62 LIKES | 1606 VIEWS Dianne's Quilt 4th of 7 quilts for my nieces. Quilted by Missouri Star Quilt Co. I finally decided to make it and I was so happy that it went easily and fast. Might make another one! By A41Leslie 10 LIKES | 735 VIEWS Castlewood Seven Eights My quilting shop offered a fun class called Seven Eights which highlighted using a precut jelly roll. I chose Castlewood designed by Jan Patek from Moda Fabrics. By stitching a patchwork border with the leftover pieces from the same line, I was able to make a larger quilt. I decided that using straight line quilting on a diagonal emphasized the design of the quilt. I also used a variety of decorative stitches on my sewing machine to quilt some of the plain sections in the patchwork border. It is a versatile pattern that I would probably try again but in another colorway. By JewelMagic 32 LIKES | 1952 VIEWS «12...25262728293031...5051»
