I pulled pieces of fabric from left overs and made this quilt. I sewed the squares into 9 patches and just went from there. Hope a child likes them! The nursery theme was Toy Story. She is a quick learner, and with a bit of instruction put together her first project. This strip quilt is for her new niece. I quilted it for her with a swirl chain and various fillers. On a previous quilt I purchased an Omnigrid triangle tool with lots and lots of grid lines that I could first use to square up the bottom edge of the units and then use a Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer after it was a HST. Really helped make sure I had a good point on the bottom so the secondary pattern worked out. Like usual, purple is very hard to photograph; first is washed out and second looks very grey. This is Bonnie Hunter's "Blue Ridge Beauty" pattern that I'm making as a retirement gift for a friend. I named it Midnight Beauty. I used RJR Bare Essentials Deluxe fabric and Maywood Studios "In the Black" fat quarters. 76" x 92" By blbaughman 16 LIKES | 649 VIEWS Ley Lines No. 2 Walking Foot Challenge No. 26 of 52 details at www.nlowequilts.com By nlowedesigns 3 LIKES | 484 VIEWS Ley Lines No. 4 Walking Foot Challenge No. 28 of 52 details at www.nlowequilts.com By nlowedesigns 3 LIKES | 445 VIEWS Tractor Panel A lady in my sewing group bought this panel for her husband then didn’t know what to do with it. This is what I pieced together for her. I told her the ‘braid’ was rows he plowed. By Aileron18 11 LIKES | 467 VIEWS Tree ornaments I made some of these years ago, but while looking at my stash I found another panel of these Christmas tree ornaments. So decided time to get them out of my stash. Made 12 only a couple are duplicates. They are not like the first set as my skills have improved so they are put together better &. these will go in the October church sale as we are downsizing hoping to moved to a living retirement center. We got rid of our tall large tree last year. By caf7carq 8 LIKES | 319 VIEWS «12...168169170171172173174...194195»
