JudyLuvs2Quilt's likes Advent Calendar 2017 This was a kit from Missouri Star. Fairly easy to do....I had wanted to try something from a kit. I think my Grandkids will enjoy it. The little pockets are tough to see in the picture. I added the tabs for hanging. By mandersonod 19 LIKES | 612 VIEWS Christmas Log Cabin I finally finished my "Forever Green" log cabin quilt! After a recent trip to visit them, I wanted to give thanks for all that they have done for our country (hence the stars) and the awesome hospitality they showed us. The fabric is Castlewood by Moda. I'm sure this fabric is a couple years old. I love the Fall colors and it will go perfectly in their family room. I made two star pillows with zipper back openings to make washing easy. The quilt is backed with with an tan minky. The quilting was done with a matching goldish/tan thread and the pattern really shows on the light background & minky. My best friend did the quilting for me, and she did an amazing job. The quilt is my own design. By ChristyJ 13 LIKES | 671 VIEWS Meryn's Birthday I have a Niece who lives in Florida. I wanted to make him something that he would enjoy; hence the red, grays and black. These are his favorite colors. The rhombus quilt was the answer. He was a science major so this was the perfect quilt. I made one box top out of a different fabric so that he would always remember to think "Outside the Box". I made two matching pillowcases and an 18" decorator pillow. The quilting was custom to bring out the 3-D boxes. The circle quilting on the pillow is the same that was on the black border. I backed it with a very soft medium gray minky. By WyomingNana 30 LIKES | 1157 VIEWS Colour Cubes First magazine quilt. Only time I've ever made a quilt from a magazine. By Barbmc 6 LIKES | 783 VIEWS Charlotte's butterflies I made this for my daughter's 7th birthday. She picked the pattern Madame butterfly from Vanessa Goertzen's book Charm School. Her favorites colors are pink and blue so Riley Blake's fabric collection Posy Garden by Carina Gardner seemed like a natural choice! The pattern makes use of the beautiful floral charm squares perfectly. My daughter was very surprised and loves to snuggle under it and watch movies with her mum. Hopefully this will be cherished for many years to come! Turned them into quarter square triangles. Really just made it up and then took all the squares and played around with placement. I love the colors and it just kind of fell together. Gave it to my son and daughter-in-law By Fidgmom13 29 LIKES | 1127 VIEWS Kitty Quilt I made this quilt for my daughter for Christmas 2018. She is definitely a cat lover.
