He ask me if when I made him a quilt could it have red fabric in memory of Dale Earnhardt. I didn't tell him but thought if I was lucky I might find some laying around someplace. I only found 1 piece but that was enough. I used the black and white effervescent which gave the look of chrome. I did the Checkmark Bargello by Susie Weaver. I am very please with the results and Gary was blown away when he saw it. 2015 County Fair was in our city and this quilt took a 1st Place Ribbon and Best In Show Ribbon.
