2nd Quilt of Valor
This started out as a jelly roll race quilt that I just didn't care for. I ended up taking it apart at every 4th row and cutting the strips into blocks to make a simple rail fence quilt. In order to meet the minimum size requirements, I used an additional cream colored jelly roll for the sashing and binding and a fat quarter of red for the cornerstones.
I needed to add more length to the quilt and didn't have any more blocks so I designed the trapunto banner the width of the quilt set off with a narrow red accent strip.
I like this much better than the original quilt I started with!
