Laurie's likes Cute Annimals Baby Boy Quilt I'm actually a quilt ahead for now for the young Moms at church. This was fun blending the animals with the whimsy of the pinwheels. I used Robert Kaufman flannel for the backing. I made two burp cloths with the leftover fabric. By WyomingNana 38 LIKES | 1493 VIEWS Baby Saint I've appliqued letters before, so I felt a little comfortable. I free-handed a fleur-di-lis and found Sulky "Burnt Toast" #1265 to trim the edge of the applique. All in all, it was a fun, VERY quick quilt for a baby boy. My mother-in-law was always more comfortable in a robe or house coat. She always had a cat or 2 also. After she passed away I made a quilt from 13 of her robes using the "Pins & Paws" pattern from the Spring issue of Block Magazine. There were 2 the same that I cut up and used for the back (it was pieced like crazy-I even had to use the pockets to get enough fabric!) Only the border and background squares were purchased fabric. I gave it to my sister-in-law (her only daughter) for her birthday. By Jograma 31 LIKES | 1297 VIEWS KC Chiefs Stadium Quilt Chiefs themed quilt for this years raffle. Well when our church collected donated materials many years back now maybe 7 or 8 these panels were among the donations. I took these with the idea maybe a children quilt. Never did one and now I thought no child will want these as the prints are so outdated. So I racked my brain and came up with a growth chart. I used a ruler masking tape found at Staples and embroidered the "How Tall Am I " on the top border and the feet numbers down the right side. Just plain old quilting for the panels. The tape sticks but not well so did a applique type stich down each side. By caf7carq 14 LIKES | 741 VIEWS Growth Chart (Rocking Horse & Heart & Horns) This was another donation to the church of panels, had many duplicates and some ladies made quilts that never sold. I thought what else can we do, pillows no. Wall hanging well no again. So made another growth chart. Again masking tape from Staples with applique stitching down each side. Use Embroidery machine for header and measurements on side "How Tall Am I" I hope these sell. Made these placemats from the panels and did sort of log cabin design about them to enlarge to proper size. The back side can be used for Fall or Halloween or Thanksgiving. I have machine stitched about the panel pattern and then in the ditch to quilt them. Labor intense for sure. I am in the process of clean out that older stuff we were given. Made 12 but will bundle for sale in 4 with matching napkins. By caf7carq 15 LIKES | 761 VIEWS Wonky Star This is a quilt i made for my niece last Christmas. She loved it!!!
