A friend and I met every week for months to work on these 4 quilts of valor. We had a great time and were featured in a local TV segment when we got ready to send our quilts to QOV for distribution.

This was a fun hilt to work on. A friend of mine and I decided to try this patter we found in a magazine ( sorry, can't remember which one.) I really like the ragged edges of the star and using the earth tones on this design.

Diamond Log Cabin

Saw this at the quilt show, bought a kit for paper piecing. The pieces are really small, each diamond measure 4 inches in length. Used the scraps (from the trash literally) of Kaffe Fassett fabric leftovers.

Under the Stars

This is a quilt made from the tutorial "Under the Stars." Instead of using a jelly roll and charm packs, I used 10" squares from two different batik layers cakes I had. The stars were made from leftover black jelly roll strips and black skinny strips (honey bun).

2003 This baby quilt features a cute cowboy novelty print, and horseshoes in the red fabric. Design by Harriet Hargrove's daughter, Carrie. Made for my friend Winnie's boy, David. The rocking horse was a gift from Uncle Joe to Cubbie.
