MrsP's likes Sky Meets Sea I made this quilt for my son and daughter-in-law for their 10th wedding anniversary later this year. They requested a king size quilt for their bed. (A first for me.) They wanted some stars and a theme of where the sea meets sky- with some jewel tones. I came up with this pattern and used mostly (all but 2 fabrics) batiks and paper pieced the stars. Some of the stars are reflecting in the sea - artistic view anyway. There are 19 different fabrics in the quilt. Sure hope this is what they had in mind. Love the colors and how it came out. By FlyCreekQuilter 11 LIKES | 757 VIEWS Five and Dime Made this quilt throw for my Mother. I used almost every piece of velvet and much of the lining in making the quilt as well as almost all seven (yes 7) yards of lace I handpicked the stitching from to remove it from the cathedral veil. By TonieP 4 LIKES | 681 VIEWS My first quilt! Started quilting the end of Jan 2017! I had purchased material and pattern for making a quilt 20 years ago, went as far as getting all the pieces cut out. Then my life turned upside down. It took me 20 years to get it "pieced" back together! (pun intended) I started sewing and simply got hooked! I wish I had know back then how much I would love quilting! Now I have lots of catching up to do! I love my quilt, which was almost an antique before I ever started sewing it! By Cowgirl12 24 LIKES | 1250 VIEWS «12...19202122232425...132133»
