Quilt6cats' likes Boy Stuff I made this quilt for my son with images of all the things he loves as a little boy. I haven't gotten this one finshed yet. We picked a play town scene for the back and he won't stop playing with his hotwheels on it long enough for me to make it part of the blanket. Might have to find something else so I can get it done. Someday I will need a baby girl quilt. By Jinney 18 LIKES | 1455 VIEWS Goshen Star I made this for my daughter, for a housewarming gift. She just bought her first house, and I thought she needed something special By Jinney 8 LIKES | 1169 VIEWS My First REAL Quilt A new quilt shop opened up near me and I saw a beautiful quilt hanging on the wall - I had to go in. When I learned it was the quilt for a class being offered - I signed up. I finished the quilt and donated it to our Combined Charities Campaign as a raffle item. We ended up with $600.00 going towards the charity! By Nicsarant 14 LIKES | 1276 VIEWS Disappearing four patch with a twist This quilt was fun to make. It was hand pieced and hand quilted. Lay out two dark and two light charm squares together and cut. I tried to find the tutorial but can't seem to locate it. I am pretty sure is was MSQC's idea. By Babs 19 LIKES | 2775 VIEWS Katie's Quilt This was the first of Jenny's tutorials I attempted. All the patches were pretty much constructed from scraps. Loved everything about quilting, from choosing the fabric to rotary cutting, etc., and became obsessed! By Sue3 10 LIKES | 1480 VIEWS Swirly Log Cabin I made this Curved Log Cabin quilt for my children. I used the creative grids log cabin tool and found it very easy to use and put the whole thing together. I quilted it into 4 quadrants with a walking foot. It was a lot of fun to make and hassle free since everything was squared up so well. I do suggest using a design wall to figure out how the blocks go. My kids love it and are curled up on the couch with it now. By verenaerin 17 LIKES | 1755 VIEWS HST Star Quilt This is a pattern from Laundry Basket Quilts. A friend and I agreed on civil war prints and each made half of the HSTs. So it was a big surprise taking out all of her blocks and seeing what colors she chose. I tried to chose quilting designs that would accent the star. I did microstipeling on the background, and quilted the star in straight lines accenting the angles. The applique is raw egde finished with a zig zag stitch in clear thread. This was a ton of fun and very rewarding. I have it hanging up in my living room. By verenaerin 17 LIKES | 1700 VIEWS Katie's Quilt This is one of my favorites. I had a bunch of fat quarters that I didn't know what to use them for. So, when I saw the tutorial on making this quilt, I pulled out my fat quarters and put them to use.
