RustyK's likes Strips & Four Patch I tried this pattern after viewing the MSQC tutorial for the Strips and Four Patch quilt. I quilted the main quilt with stitch in the ditch. On the borders I used a Borders Made Easy adhesive pattern. On the corners I attempted FMQ to tie in the side border patterns. I used the Van Gogh Jelly roll with matching fabrics for the borders and the backing. By AuntieLo 15 LIKES | 1223 VIEWS It's All About the Fabric I had a design roll of Kaffe Fassett fabric for a couple of years and didn't know how to best use it without cutting the pieces up too small and losing the glorious fabric designs. I decided that diamonds would be ideal and the black sashing would make the colors pop. I've never made a diamond pattern before and I didn't even have a diamond template to use! So I used my 60-degree triangle ruler to make the shapes. Sewing with biased edges was tricky but I'm very happy with how this quilt came out. I used a beautiful blue fabric for the backing. Finally finished embroidery this year and had a friend do the hand quilting. By Mapav 25 LIKES | 848 VIEWS Blue Starburst I am so giddy over this quilt. Love the color and pop with the white. This is going to hang in my living room. Such a fun and quick quilt to make. By Bluebird1018 21 LIKES | 527 VIEWS Felicity I have always loved yellow and fell in love with this quilt when I saw it in a magazine. It took me two years to collect all the fabric needed for it and even then used the solid black and yellow from my stash. By Jennterr53 10 LIKES | 647 VIEWS Quilt of Valor I made this quilt for our dear friend, Rich. He was a Viet Nam Veteran and at the time was fighting terminal cancer. I wanted Rich to know that I appreciated his service and that he was very special to all of us. By yolajean 10 LIKES | 538 VIEWS A Quilt for an Adopted Baby A friend a church adopted a baby. This is their third adoption. They are awesome parents. I used stash fabric and backed it with Robert Kaufman flannel and made two matching burp cloths. The yellow daisy quilting made it a very cute quilt. This pattern was from a tutorial by Amy Smart. By WyomingNana 9 LIKES | 764 VIEWS Omigosh Designed by the late Sue Garman. I used scraps from my stash exclusively for the blocks, only had to buy white (and lots of it!), & fabric for the borders and the backing By DonnaP 44 LIKES | 1724 VIEWS «1234»
