Quilt for Elyse
This quilt was designed my daughter, Valerie, for a friend of hers. It uses her favorite colors. Val and I went through my quilt books and she found a pattern she liked.
Sorry, I can't find the name of the pattern right now-it is from a book at our library! Anyway, it was harder than I thought it would be because we used teal flannel, which when cut on the bias for the diamondish shapes, stretched and was very tough to piece together. I finally found using lots of starch helped. It was quilted at Missouri Star!! and they did their usual wonderful job! Thanks! I recently added two more pics that show the binding, which I love, that set off the design.
Note: I found the pattern info! It is from Becky Goldsmith's Quilter's Practical Guide to Color and it is the quilt on the cover!!!
