scrap bin quilt #4 - flying geese
This was a fun one! It's made of remnants from other quilts and projects (costumes, curtains, etc) that I've made. I really enjoyed sifting through my stacks and finding meaningful fabrics, and pairing them up. My kids have had fun looking at it and picking out fabrics they recognize, too. After my usual endless deliberation, I quilted it with a wood grain motif from Angela Walters. The quilting doesn't show up as well as I'd hoped on the busy top, but it was a really fun design to quilt. The back is flannel leftovers from my kids' lap quilts, as well as one row of flannel geese. Those flannel geese were a pain - way too stretchy! It finished at 64x72 and is now my wrap-up-to-stay-warm-while-working-from-home quilt.
