Our Big Star Quilts
After our visit last summer to MSQC the 3 of us, our Mother, June Koenig my sister, Diane Dasher and me, Cindy Crist, spent time together piecing the Big Star Quilt with a Christmas/Winter twist. We will treasure these quilts and the time spent together.
A former employee at the local quilt shop suggested that I view the MSQC website a few years ago and I was hooked. I have since shared my love for the MSQC with many others.
You will notice that the borders on the quilts are not all the same. The backs of the quilts are all different. Diane's is pieced to look like a Christmas package wrapped in red paper with a white bow. Mom's is a single piece of black and white print. The back on mine is black and white polka dots pieced with a strip of left over 5 in squares. Mom has the fabric to piece another one of the Big Star Quilts in a Blue Christmas theme.
All 3 of the quilts were machine quilted by me on my Grace frame with a mid-arm Janome 16P.
