Playing around with some octagon design. Some have optical illusions.

While traveling through deep space, you pause to look out a window and admire a nearby galaxy. It's rotational pattern is similar the Golden Spiral (Fibonacci spiral/sequence). This pattern can be found in many places back on Earth. I like the idea of this quilt even though my poor sewing skills have failed to reveal it properly.

The top of the wings is an iridescent blue color. The bottom looks like camouflage. One side of the quilt is the top of the wings and the other is the bottom. This quilt epitomizes the expression “Done is better than perfect”.

This quilt will cover my arms when I donate platelets (two hour procedure). I wanted something interesting.

Rhobus cubes plus six-pointed stars inside hexagons,
