This was inspired by my sister-in-law. She told me one day if she wanted a quilt she would buy one.So over a few months I asked her what colors she liked and sent her a couple quilt pictures to see if she like them.Then I saw the video on Jordan Fabrics and I knew it was the one.I bought the pattern and then went to Jo-Ann fabrics and picked out the Black/White and bought the Gold and background White at Fabric Depot.Started cutting and sewing and just finished this much of it a few days ago.I am going to put 2 borders in Gold and Black. I did use the Tutorial Daybreak Quilt Pattern using a Strip Set from Jordan Fabrics on Youtube. Cozy Quilt Designs made this originally in Batiks. You can go to there site on Youtube and watch it.

Sleep Mat

My granddaughter, Bridget, is starting daycare for the first time in her life. She will need a sleep mat for nap time, every day. I had an old exercise mat (very lightly used, who has time to exercise with so many quilts to make! tee hee hee). My stash had this butterfly fabric that is a little too glittery for my taste in quilts, but three-year-old Bridget LOVES it. So, her new sleep mat is now ready!

My Seahorse

While on vacation this past May, we had a very rainy day and I decided to work on a collage quilt using ideas I'd picked up from doing an earlier collage quilt(Old Blue) from a pattern by Laura Heine. I sketched up a seahorse and purchased fabric and Steam A Seam2(Essential items for this project) and got to work on it. I made a good start and worked on it again when I got home. Due to other projects, I didn't completely finish it, including binding and quilting until these past few weeks.

Cake Mix Quilt

Rhombus Cube Quilt

I was star struck the first time I saw this quilt. I had made one other quilt (after my initial class) which was large and nice, but it had no points, no places that had to match. Enter MSQC and Jenny Doan. She said this quilt could be made easily and I was hooked. I almost ordered different fabric, but really didn't have that much confidence at the time. This quilt gave me the confidence to know I could quilt, and I've been loving this hobby ever since.

Sport Baby Boy Quilt

This is the fourth and final quilt my sister ordered recently for all the baby showers she has attended in the past few months. I used a Varsity charm pack (Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics) and a gray back ground. No pattern was used, I just let my imagination run wild and creatively; it was quilted on my domestic machine.

9 Patch Swap

I started to make the 9 patch swap for a friends wedding gift. I did not like the quilt with all of the white in the background. I decided to try one block with navy in the background and when I put the navy block in between the white blocks, I loved the results. This is one of my favourite quilts that I have made.

Missy's Quilt

This quilt has had a long story before it was even finished it started as an on-line block and fabric swap back in 2008 so it contains block from all over the world and it was just another UFO until 2015 when I fell in love with quilting all over again. I wanted to finish this one for Missy my sister because she was going through a terrible time of loss and wanted to wrap her in the love I knew was sewn in by all those giving people who shared those wonderful blocks and taught me so much.
