Four Patch Frenzy

I had lots of scraps of bright colors that I thought would look good for this throw.

Crib Quilt

Loved using the bright colors for this crib quilt. So quick and easy following the Four Patch Frenzy tutorial, adjusting the size down.

The Sound of Music

This was my very first attempt at "quilting". I had an idea and wanted to make it for my 89 yearold mum who had recently moved into a nursing home. The Sound of Music was her favorite movie. Each of the "scene" squares was accompanied by the sheet music to compliment it. She refused to put it on her bed and instead insisted it was hung. It is not a traditional quilt (which I have since gone on to learn) but it was a lot of fun to design with the use of printable fabric. It was during the making of this that the "quilting bug" bit me ♥

Nova Scotia Lupins

The lupins in the fabric chose the contrasting colors I used for this simple quilt. I also used the three colors for the binding which was a nice change from a solid color.

Toes In The Sand

This was my first attempt at a "proper" quilt. It was inspired by my love of the Caribbean, the turquise waters and white sand beaches. The star fish are appliques. Although a simple pattern in was very time consuming. Finished project was 85" X 105"

Hermione and Friends

This quilt for a favorite neice was inspired by the Harry Potter themed fabric. A simple design but a big hit. 90" X 105"

Sugar Skulls

This cosy lap quilt was made for my daughter to cuddle under. Although I will probably never work with faux fur again, LOL, I was pleased with the final result. It was made with the "Disappearing Four Patch" tutorial.
