Sharing a trick to help others
When I did my last baby quilt, just posted I wanted to just do straight line quilting. I don't like using chalk nor do those pens that the ink disappears work so good either. So I took a piece of heavy (decorative type) masking tape 2 inches wide and did the X from corner to corner. Then sewed next to tape, moved tape on sew line and did next quilt row. Tape lasted with sticky the whole quilt. Later I find the walking foot has a attachment to make straight lines which my walking foot was missing. So purchased it and will try that next time, however this tape method produced nice very even lines.
