Last summer I appliqued all the blocks for the center. Then I had a busy year moving, etc. so I didn't get to finish it. This summer I am working on the borders and I hope to enter it in my Guild's quilt show in March. I would love to see any other "Sew Tweets" made from this pattern. It was originally a BOM so it is planned in "bite size pieces" OOPS! In the picture, I know I sewed the blocks together wrong - I have since corrected that By Calliope 7 LIKES | 1707 VIEWS Buttons and Baubles This quilt was a kit I picked up from a retirment sale from a quilt store. I loved the fabric, and bought it mostly for that. Two years later, I pull it out of my stash, and it makes for a fabulous sewing machine cover. By amberghini 4 LIKES | 978 VIEWS Read to Me I love reading to my twin granddaughters! I made this quilt for us to cuddle under as we read their favorite books. Made from scraps and stash fabrics, some of their early favorite titles are machine embroidered on the top "shelf" of books. Other favorites will be added by hand as they grow. Backed in cuddle cloth to make it even more cozy! By prayingmama 25 LIKES | 1637 VIEWS Uniquely Shiloh When my youngest Granddaughter was born her parents wanted a quilt made just for her. They wanted a "bar code" of Agent 47...from a Play Station Game. I wanted to do something which would be Shiloh's own unique quilt so I downloaded a Bar Code Generator then fed in Shiloh's full name & date of Birth. Then generated a Bar Code from those. I then used a quilting software to expand the Bar Code into a quilt pattern of black & white stripes. The numbers at the base of the quilt are her DOB. It is larger than a baby quilt but not as big as a Twin as it was made for her toddler bed. By DawnMason 6 LIKES | 1109 VIEWS Butterfly Kisses This is a pattern by Tula Pink and i just love it. I am new to quilting so this was a real challenge and I learned so much by completing this. I entered it into our local quilt show and received a second place ribbon. By MacFrank69 6 LIKES | 1109 VIEWS Autumn in New England The inspiration for this confetti/art wall hanging came from a photo taken by my dad in New England years ago. The background, grass & trees are appliqued. The leaves were made from several colors of batiks that were cut into confetti size pieces.....then placed on the background. I added a layer of black tulle over the whole thing for texture & to hold confetti in place. Then added FMQ over the leaves & the grassy areas.........I used red, yellow & brown Floriani embroidery thread. I saw the confetti technique online & in a magazine article & wanted to try it. This was a Christmas gift for my dad. The size is 10" x 13". Here are a few progress photos & inspiration picture. I wanted to do something that might comfort her, if he passed, so I made an art quilt of Jinx. Fortunately, he pulled through!
