I wanted to make a scrap quilt. I cut all of the pieces that were not big enough to get a 10" square out of into 5" and 2 1/2" pieces. When I got done I realized that I had colors divided by brights and muteds. This is what I made from the brights. The pattern is Jelly Turnover from the Moda Bakeshop.

Annalise's Quilt

Baby quilt for my 4th granddaughter. Design came from 2 different fish quilts I found online. I used blues b/c her room is painted a light/medium teal that changes hues as the sun light moves through the day. Some of the fabric patterns mimic water. The border is scraps of the fish fabrics that follow the fish from light to dark around the quilt. Quilting was done in waves to represent water.

I have loved all the 1930s reproduction fabrics and have been itching to make something with them. When I received the first BLOCK magazine subscription I fell in love with this pattern! So here it is and I am thrilled because I used wool batting for the first time and this is going to be my winter-snuggle-on-the-couch quilt.....well who am I kidding, in Alaska you sometimes need that in the summer as well!!
