kathybloom's likes Border Periwinkle I was on the MSQC deal of the day and saw this layer cake I needed to get. I had already decided I needed to make the bordered Periwinkle and I thought this would be great. I bought additional layer cakes and some yardage. And off I went. I ended up having enough to make two. Well the second was actually made with the blocks I joined together the wrong way and had set aside. It is a lap and there is such a big difference but I love them both. I decided to give it to my son for Christmas. A week after Christmas my daughter in law calls me. Can you enlarge Jer's quilt. It is perfect for our bedroom. I said let me send you the photo of the king I made. She loved it and I have decided to mail it to her. Although I love the fabric and the quilt it looks lousy in our bedroom. By Ediane 9 LIKES | 1236 VIEWS Snowman's Trip This is my second UFO finished in 2016. It's made from four Snowman Gatherings charm packs and additional fabric from Primitive Gatherings. It was meant to be my lap quilt but I kinda got carried away. Its 77 inches square. Room for two laps.... By Anannymess 17 LIKES | 1470 VIEWS GenX-Aztec Baby Quilt This is for a grandson due in April. My sister-in-law admired it before I added the borders. She had an accident recently and broke her wrist. I decided to give her this quilt and surprised her with it today. She and my brother were both thrilled. I was quite pleased with the quilting which was done on my Sweet Sixteen. It's not perfect but I feel I'm making progress. By hsmomny 21 LIKES | 1042 VIEWS My First Large Quilt I purchased the Lone Star quilt pattern from Eleanor Burns after watching her show where she made this quilt. I decided to give it try. I started out just making the star but kept adding fabric until I ended up with a king size quilt. As this was the first quilt I ever made and I thrilled it turned out as well as it did.
