Table topper using the peel back technique

Curves are created using folded fabric "peeled back" on the bias edge and then stitched down. Buttons were used for embellishment. The piece was handquilted.

Thankful Turkey

Beginner quilter....I watch the MSQC tutorials many times. This turkey pattern from MSQC is an old one I found on Pinterest. Fell in love and hunted the pattern down with the help of the wonderful staff at MSQC. I used Perfectly Seasoned layer cake by Sandy Gervais/Moda. The banner is at the quilter.....going to be ready for November! (My granddaughter holding the banner... :)

My niece's shower quilt

My nephew was in Iraq for two tours as a tank operator. One tour in Kuwaiit. This quilt for their growing son is a tribute to his service to our country. His service and this quilt will wrap his new born son in the blessed safety of our great country. Quilted in baby blue camouflage!

Shades of blue and snowy prints were used to make this quilt. Each block is 12": a different traditional star block takes up the 6" center of a log cabin, with 12" stars sprinkled randomly. The backing is 12" squares of various snowflake prints. Quilting is a 90 degree rainbow shape across each block.

Row By Row 2015 1st Day of Summer

Row By Row is a national quilt shop hop - I love it and on the 1st day of summer I hit 7 stores in PA and NJ to get my rows - what fun. 2 weeks later went to Pittsburgh and got my last 3 rows. Ended up with 9 rows in my quilt and I love it - 2nd time winner at Granny's Sewing Den in Glenside, PA - What fun!! Machine pieced, Applique, Paper Pieced, Hand and machine quilted - Bridge on back quilted in glow in the dark thread so it will appear on right side.

Quilt for my brother's 50th birthday.

My 89-year -old Mom came to visit two years ago. I had just discovered JENNY DOAN's quilt tutorials, and when my Mom first arrived, we warched Jenny make a Dresden plate quilt block. I had some fabric in my stash, and we decided to make my brother a quilt for his birthday. This is the result .... we worked on it for 7 days straight and finished it before my Mom returned to Michigan .... just 8 days after she had arrived at my house!
