By mgnelson 7 LIKES | 639 VIEWS Scrappy Race Track #2 This is Race track # 2 made from left over project materials from the last 10 years. I cut left over material into 2 1/2 , 2 & 1 1/2 inches. I sew the 2 & 1 1/2 together and trimmed to 2 1/2. Then sewed the strips end to end in no order. Took the Beginning end and pulled it though the house to the last end and sewed the length. Cut and repeated until I had a piece rather long but only 45 inches wide. I cut the length in two pieces and added red border to one, posted a few day ago. This one has a black border and I used a printed scrappy design in Christmas for the back and the trim. I love these and will be another donated to the Rehab Veterans nearby us. By Tonette55 9 LIKES | 636 VIEWS Baby Quilt I had a "Couch to Quilt" kit, from which I previously pilfered a few of the charm squares for another project. So, I added a few leftovers from other baby quilts and did Jenny's Charms on Point, which I then quilted myself. By LindaV 15 LIKES | 526 VIEWS Four Patch Frenzy I had lots of scraps of bright colors that I thought would look good for this throw. By PatM 8 LIKES | 686 VIEWS Nova Scotia Lupins The lupins in the fabric chose the contrasting colors I used for this simple quilt. I also used the three colors for the binding which was a nice change from a solid color. By PatM 5 LIKES | 621 VIEWS Toes In The Sand This was my first attempt at a "proper" quilt. It was inspired by my love of the Caribbean, the turquise waters and white sand beaches. The star fish are appliques. Although a simple pattern in was very time consuming. Finished project was 85" X 105" By PatM 7 LIKES | 714 VIEWS Spring petals I saw a picture 'online' and did my own version. All petals were made from scraps and there are no fabrics used more than once. The whites are all different too as I used all my scraps before cutting into metreage. I used small dots of wash-out fabric glue to secure the applique before sewing. The colors might not be true when viewing. The background is similar to a burnt yellow. One of my first quilts I made, many moons ago. By Calicosnowman 7 LIKES | 468 VIEWS Granddaughter's Baby Quilt in SW color scheme Another baby quilt using the leftover fabric from parents wedding quilt. I always buy way too much. But have now finished up the majority of the fabric. YEA! I haven't gotten it quilted yet, it's off the stretcher frame and ready. I want to quilt feathers in the corners with the circles. Will see what the quilt says when I get to that point? Our only granddaughter will get the last quilt. By Calicosnowman 15 LIKES | 592 VIEWS I Spy Quilt This goes with my I Spy bag. We have been using both on our trip from Illinois to Colorado. As with many projects, I ended up making 2 and giving one away. By SnuffleupagusR 10 LIKES | 645 VIEWS «12...34353637383940...7273»
