purlewe's likes Jenny's keyhole quilt I made this keyhole quilt using greenery fabric line for my sister in law Lisa. It's a surprise I'm sending to her from Jersey to Idaho. She loved the fabric line. She doesn't know she's getting a quilt. By Retired14 20 LIKES | 905 VIEWS Rainbow strip baby quilt A rainbow strip baby quilt with baby's last name on it. One of my favorite parts of quilting is designing the project. I design as I go using a design wall. There are a lot of y seams in this piece, I learned it is important to back stitch the partial seam so is does not separate when quilting. I also learned that heavy quilting covers a multitude of piecing imperfections........ There were 11 of us that participated in this. I will probably add to this and then longarm it myself. The customer had pieced the HST blocks, then life got in the way of completing the quilt. She sent the blocks to my friend. We came up with the layout and my friend pieced the top. The customer wanted a queen size quilt, so we added borders. The customer wanted all white added as a very large border, but I thought of the blue border with HST in the corners. The customer loved the border and wanted white added as the rest of the border. The colorful part of the quilt is on the top of her bed and the white drapes on the sides of the bed. 90" x 100" By blbaughman 16 LIKES | 636 VIEWS Girly death star My daughters friends found out they were having a baby girl. The sides had already been cut off before I rescued it. The sides were stretched out, so I used Best Press and steam from my iron while it was on my quilt frame to tame the fullness. I got it to lay pretty flat on the frame. I'll work on binding it today. This is the ninth quilt that I quilted on my longarm. 85" x 94" 8/15/2020 By blbaughman 14 LIKES | 579 VIEWS «1234567»
