A friend of ours lives in Spokane. She emailed me and told us they were having problems with their daughters baby and breaking in their home, and it just coming. The finale was her little granddaughter got beat up on the bus, really beat up. So my wife and I decided to make a treat for her. We used Jenny's from the tutorial on youtube. She loves pink and so it was. I put a few embroidery designs on it too. We told her when you get scared or having some troubles and we told her to go to "Grandma House" (quilt)

Hollywood 40' glam. A bed runner and center piece

This wonderful lady was looking at pieces I had made. She lives in the UK and asked if I know what Hollywood Glam was, and she wanted Black, White, Silver and bling. I made her a bed runner that was for a EXTRA King size bed. Tie backs for the drapes for the canopy bed and a centerpiece for her boudoir Table

Les Fleurs of Paris

My wife is the queen of Pink and Black and all about Paris. So last Christmas, i new I wanted to make her a queen with a queen quilt. It is filled with mix media, Hand applique, ribbon swirls, fans, just exquisite and a scalloped border. It was bordering my talent threshold, but I did it. She was so shocked she just screamed.

Quilts for FEMA & the mud slide in Oso WA disaster

It was the largest natural disaster in the USA, the community in OSO, a mud slide. 44 died and over 18 acres. They started to request quilts as it was in the late winter. So we got our family together and started sewing. The FEMA center was one block behind our house. So here are pics of the a couple of the FEMA staff receiving the quilts with my granddaughter and grandson and my wife Cathy. We used 4 patch block and 9 patch and pinwheels so we could get them down quick. It is always a blessing to give it away.

Give Thanks Table Runner

We made this runner for the "Giving Day". Our family had moved 14 times in 18 years, yes I was a navy brat....so we always had a huge dinner on thanksgiving with any of the military men and ladies my mum and dad would always invite them. So we called it the "Orphan Dinner" for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was always the two days we loved alot. So we have adopted the tradition too. So we made this runner to the "orphan dinner" and also one for Christmas. The borders were really important on the runners, on the Give Thanks runner I had some extra dresden fall flower and I cut them in two and appliqued them on the border and it looks like the Turkey Fan Tail. On the christmas runner it has a quilting technique called "railroading" look close at it, it is awesome.

Miss Bakers Fairies Quilt

My granddaughter got a pull to fairies, she had pictures, fairie dolls, anything that had a fairy on it she had it. So Oma and I (Opa) made her a fairy quilt made with a center panel of Cicely Mary Barker. It was a way to get it made fast and beautiful. Hope you like my presentation.

The Old World Santa's Quilt

Christmas is always a time of memories for us. We twined my wifes traditional (British) and our are (Italian). I fell on an a applique pattern of Old World Santas for machine Embroidery. So I adapted them to what them I was doing. We went to the thrift shops and bought several formals that had velvet, satin, organza etc. I had enough fabric to do 37 blocks 12X12. I really like the International Set that I did. Hop you like them.

The Oliva Quilt

My Sister in Law is a first Italian. My Brother married her almost 40 years ago. When I saw this pattern and the colors were perfect for her they were Rust, Olive Green, Deep Gold, maize and eggplant. It was the first time we tried a "On Point" quilt, we sure used our seam rippers for that quilt. The bottom line was she loved it. Così Bella (so beautiful Silvana said)
