I decided to make a quilt for each grandchild when they graduated from college. My oldest granddaughter is now a nurse and using this, my first bedsize quilt, everyday. She loved the colors in this collection.

Passing Pinwheels

This quilt is a custom product of the ladies and gentleman that attended the 2015 MSQC Fall Forum Retreat. Everyone participated in pinwheel construction and layout of the quilt. The result is a beautiful compilation of multi-direction spinning pinwheels. The fabrics come from my grandmothers stash and MSQC! We plan to gift the quilt to a shelter. I named it "Passing Pinwheels" after seeing this poem online. Christmas Quilt

I wanted to make a quilt I could bring out every Holiday season and lay over the couch by the tree. I found a beautiful fat quarter in a quilt shop when I visited Panama City Beach this summer. It's called Holiday Flourish by Robert Kaufman. I was inspired by a pattern called Brimfield by Moda for Layer Cakes, but I used all my own measurements to change the size of the squares.

Bargello

Hexagon flowers

I made this little hexagon wallhanging. All hexagons are hand stitched together and measure 3/4 inches. I embroidered the flowers on the borders. It took quite a while to finish, but I really liked the finished product!

Advent Calendar

I quilted this panel using a ruler foot on my domestic machine and then added a bit of FMQ outline quilting. It was a good project to learn using the ruler foot and templates after I finished the Craftsy course, "Quilting with rulers on a home machine by Amy Johnson."

Garden Walk Table Runner

This was my very first attempt at quilting. I bought a charm pack from my local quilt shop laid out the squares and just started sewing. The fabric is Aster Manor by 3 Sisters for Moda, and I simply stitched in the ditch. It was a simple project and I really like how it turned out. I fell in love with the fabric as I worked with it. It reminds me of the walks I would go on with my daughter when she was a baby at an estate show garden near where we live.
