I have been making quilts for each family member and this one goes to my married son. He requested no "hearts and flowers." The first one I made him I ended up keeping because I could not part with it. It was made from his dad's old woodcutting shirt, red flannel and his old recycled work jeans. And the memories just got me. So, I made him another one, also from one of his dad's old flannel shirts, and pants. This one was all in blues. I just love it too, but, I have to let it go, so it can be equally loved. He wanted flannel backing and warm and natural batting.
