A good friend asked if I would make her 20 something son a T-shirt quilt. He had asked her about getting one made and she thought of me. I agreed....never having made one. So I got a copy of a wonderful book T-Shirt Quilts Made Easy by Martha DeLeonardis... read and read... and started in. 120+ hours later, it was completed. Everyone just loved it.. and so do I. After spending my Summer, Fall, and Early Winter 2015 working on it... making up my pattern as I went... I have a new respect for anyone that writes patterns and I will NEVER EVER complain about the price of a pattern again. This quilt was one of the most challenging things I've ever done...and one of the most rewarding. I did something I never thought I could, completed it.. and was very happy with the outcome. It was very hard to start, but once I told myself the only person who said I couldn't do it was me...I was off to the races. Will be starting a T-shirt quilt for my own very soon.

K's Squares quilt

I took a class that "ate my lunch" due to the curves in the pieces. When this class opened, it seemed much easier to accomplish, so I used the fabrics from the first class to complete this quilt. It is backed with the same fabric as the curtains I made for K's bedroom.

Catz

This quilt is 6 years old and belongs to my granddaughter, who loves the color orange and cats. Guildcrafters quilt shop displayed this Jan Mullen ( Stargazey Quilts) design at a quilt show and carried the pattern. Well, I took a picture of it and showed it to Lillian. Needless to say... I ended up making her one. this quilt has been washed several times in a regular washing machine and is well loved.
