On our first visit to Missouri Star Quilt Co. I bought this pattern and all the fabric for it at the Mercantile shop. I kept the supplies for over a year, remembering the trip, the excitement of being in Hamilton, etc. Last Fall, my daughter and I visited MSQC again, this time for a 4 day retreat and I bought fabric enough for 2 more quilts. I came home and started this quilt, completing it this Spring, and now entering it in the Oregon State Fair in August. Thank you, Jenny! You inspire me.
My first experience with a pre-cut. I thought a honey bun was another name for a jelly roll so the quilt came out smaller than I expected but I learned a lot doing it. Mainly that stitch in the ditch machine quilting is a lot harder than it looks. :)
