    This was started on Valentine's Day 2016. I had originally wanted to make a pinwheel quilt, and bought the Dottie and white Moda charm packs. What I didn't know (at the time) was the pinwheel made the squares smaller (first quilt planned with a specific pattern in mind), and I didn't know how to resize - so I found a chevron pattern and made this one instead. The back is pieced because I overbought yardage - by a LOT. Lessons learned: STRETCH the backing (thanks to a quilting buddy for that lesson) - Square up those squares - Trust in your ability to design

    Used a pattern out of Camille Roskelley's Simply Retro called Vintage but scaled it down to 42x42" and instead of making a traditional quilt sandwich with batting and backing, I'm quilting the top on to 4 layers of flannel with straight line quilting a half inch apart to make into a faux chenille. Should be cozy!

    Lap size quilt made with jelly roll from Walmart I bought about 2 years ago. Just thought it would be something to play with. I started with one pattern and did not like the look. Switched to the starburst and thought it turned out well. My daughter had asked me to make a quilt for a coworker, someone I had never met. This turned out to be just what my daughter wanted to show her coworker she thought the friend was an up and coming star in their business.

    I got this doll bed at a garage sale. It had a pink gingham check canopy but no other bedding. My grandson sanded and painted it for me while I made it a little quilt and some bed linens. I gave it to my one and only granddaughter out of seven who plays with dolls. She's put it to good use! The quilt is made from charm squares in pinks and white/cream solids.
