I made this quilt for a good friend who loves yellow & gray. The quilt is 54" x63" with 168 blocks & 336 HST's. Most all of the fabrics were bought at different times from estate/garage sales or at a very good sale price. I did big stitch quilting on this one following the diamond pattern in the quilt. I got the inspiration for this quilt from the Sew Katie Did blog in her value quilt tutorials. I'm happy with how it turned out and thrilled that my friend loved it.

After only a few smaller projects I jumped in the deep end and tried a queen sized quilt. I chickened out at the end and just stitched in the ditch and did not free motion quilt. I am going to try that on smaller projects first. I loved how it turned out even though there are a ton of mistakes hidden in there :) Even a small drop of blood because I pricked myself with a safety pin while basting :)

Finnegan's Tractor Quilt

Denise's Rail Fence Quilt

This quilt I made for my daughter for Christmas 2016. It was a kit top purchased at my local quilt shop in Kingston Ontario. The fabrics are batiks. I believe the pattern is called Rail Fence but may have other names. It was made with 2 1/2" strips and yardage.I added a 2" and 5" borders to compete I finished the back with a fleece fabric for a nice cozy feel. It was quilted free motion in a repeating spiral pattern. The quilt finished size is approx 60" X 64"

Green Bay Packer Quilt

I made this for a friend who loves the Green Bay Packers. He and his wife moved from Wisconsin to Iowa and we became friends and did camping together in our RV. They still live north but we moved very south to the warmth. As they had sub zero weather most recently I thought he would enjoy this quilt. I already had made the Missouri Star design in blue for his wife a few years back. I had no pattern for this NFL quilt but left over pieces from another quilt I had made and found this football design that looked like football field. The back is a wood scene like you would see in WI and makes it reversible.
