Twin quilts from Ugly Jelly Rolls

My daughter wanted me to make a quilt for her friend in the Navy, but the "problem" was she had twins.Sew my choices were to make two quilts in the same pattern with different fabrics or two quilts in different patterns using the same fabrics. I used 56 strips from 3 ugly 20 pc strip rolls. The Arkansas Traveler was made using the leftover strips sets from the pinwheel quilt.

KC Chiefs Stadium Quilt

Chiefs themed quilt for this years raffle. Tried the 3d looking block with fussy cutting the licensed fabric for the inner square. Found the Chiefs font and used for applique.Center is the Sports Life 3 touchdown panel. Quilted with football and helmets, done by Hunters Heirloom Quilters.

Zip It Quilt

I made this as a baby quilt for my grandson. I used some scraps from my stash and the border was from Simply Colorful II. The back is flannel - grey crisscross. I did meandering free motion to quilt it. I have now added a pic from 2017 of my grandson on the quilt in a park. So great to have it in use. :)

Chez Moi Calypso Placemats and Runner

Charm squares from Chez Moi. Chez moi charms "Table Charm" by Whistlepig Creek Productions 1 runner, and 4 placemats 3-22-14: One placemat quilted, in the ditch with green shaded thread. 3-31-14: All quilted, including runner. Added 1/4 inch topstitch for center panel and sides. 4-5-14: Got to get a yard of green for binding. Bought a soft blue instead. 6-7-14: Hand sewing the binding down on first placemat. Done. 6-13-14: Friday the 13th full moon. Finished runner and another placemat. Made rainbow jello. 8-18-17: Finished sewing binding on last 2 placemats. All done.

Stars'n'Four Patches

Quilt no.16! This is one of my favorite color combos and patterns until now. I came across the pattern by Moda several years back and had pondered over the fabric choices forever. After several changes, I settled for these and I'm so happy with how it turned out. There is one block that bugs the heck out of me because one of the QSTs is the wrong way round - but everybody said they wouldn't notice if I didn't point it out... ah well, finished is better than perfect hey!
