My local quilt guild invited Pat Sloan to come talk in March. We were challenged at the February meeting to make one of these quilts by the time she came. I pulled charm packs and yardage from my stash, and couldn't decide which to make, so I made both. Both were quilted and bound in time for Pat's visit. Dot to dot

This quilt was made for wonderful friends who go way back in our lives. Their modern home has a unique color scheme. When we were traveling in Reno I came across a great quilt shop and found all of these fabrics that look like they belong in our friends' home. I carted about 5 yards of fabric all the way back to Texas. I actually made the quilt top twice because I didn’t like the first one. I’m very pleased with how this one turned out. It was pieced, appliquéd and quilted on my domestic sewing machine.

Another Bingo Prize

My aunt runs a bingo game for the residents of a local personal care home. Lap quilts are the 'cover all' prize, so I am busy keeping her in prizes! This is a simple charms quilt, and I was able to practice my free-motion skills.

2-Patch 4-Patch

Found this quilt online called 2-patch 4-patch. I had a partially used jellyroll of Hometown Girl, and with the background fabric, it made a nice size lap quilt, 50 x 68. Quilted by my wonderful longarmer, using Urban Elementz Panto called Disco. I love the colors in this, might have to keep this one.
