Kaleidoscope

Scrappy Quilt

On a snow day, I pulled out lots of my leftovers from other quilts I've made, cut them into 2.5" strips and started making blocks. Then, I snowballed each block, a trick I learned from Jenny, of course. And, ta-da! Wonderful scrappy quilt!

The Purple Elephant

I had decided to stop taking custom orders for quilts because its no fun to HAVE to sew. Just a couple weeks afterwards a repeat customer asked me to make her the Elephant Abstractions for her in purples. I had had my eye on that quilt for awhile and I was so excited I totally forgot that I was not going to do any more custom jobs and took this one. It was a lot of work but I hunkered down and did it. Nautical quilt for a nautical dad

I wanted to make a quilt just for Dad who is 90, fit and healthy. He was in the navy and lied boats for the younger part of his life (before kids) and has always had an affinity with the sea. I chose the fabrics and then decided on Jenny's Lattice Four Patch quilt. I loved it, note to self - if choosing a fabric for sashing/Lattice again, make sure it is not directional. For some reason the photos have come out rotated 90degrees. I seem unable to change them.
