Trick or treating around the town

I saw a quilt about a year ago using the Dresden plate to make houses and thought it would be great to make a Halloween town. I liked it so much, that I made 2, one for me and another for a friend.

Two Grey Bargellos

I really liked this pattern by Susie Weaver. The pattern includes three different designs. I did all three of them (the blue Bargello was posted earlier). I liked that you could make the swirl and if you add 8 strips at the end, it will make the checkmark design. I definitely preferred the checkmark and lightning bolt options.

African Lady

Found a royalty free image online, printed on 8.5 x 11 paper, had it enlarged 300% (2 copies). One copy for reference, second copy as template. Used 'fabric magic' to add texture to headdress, dress and jewelry.

Woodland Creatures baby quilt

The two panels (and the center of the tree) were Row by Row kits in 2016, produced by Cary Quilting Co. I bought them with the intention of putting them together, and they've been hanging out in the to-do pile for a while. A co-worker announced that his wife was having their first child - a girl. I asked, and was told the theme was "woodland creatures." I immediately thought of this. I appliqued everything and put some additional borders on to keep it from being too skinny.I quilted it myself. The couple really liked this gift for their baby.

Heart Wall Hanging

Update: Wall hanging is quilted and two pillows were quilted. - I made this heart wall hanging quilt top using home decor fabrics to match pillows and bed headboard for a friend. I have never zig zagged so much for a project. The fabric just kept falling apart. Glad to have it done. :-) The medallion fabric is beautiful. All shades of purple and cream.
