J's first Quilt for Baby Charlotte
What do you do with a lot of half square triangles? You hand them to a pretty smart little cookie and tell him to make four patches. Then Grandma sews the four patches just like he had them planned and hands them back to the boy. He lays them out of a small classroom rug just the way he wants them. Then Grandma and boy carry the rug to the sewing room. Blocks to rows, rows to a little quilt for Baby Charlotte that lives next door. He's really proud of his work, and Grandma knows that soon enough we'll be warning him about having that lead foot (poor thing, it's in the genes).
