I had made these HSTs for another quilt but then set them aside, so I decided to use them for my "I Walked The Line Walking-Foot Challenge" instead. This was not only a walking-foot challenge for me, but also a HST challenge as well. I need to practice a lot more on getting my "points" to match (I was telling myself as I was piecing this quilt, "No more HSTs" because I couldn't get my points to match and it was becoming very frustrating to me. It has always been a nightmare for me in getting my points to match without tugging this way or that, or even ripping out several times. But maybe, with more practice. . .). I used Leah Day's book "EXPLORE Walking Foot Quilting", Concentric Squares as my guide for the quilting on this piece.

We recently moved into our new home. Lots of blank walls, so what better way to fill the empty space and show my house quilt. My husband also whipped up the wooden quilt hanger complete with little houses as a decoration.

I am a quilter and also participate in several of the Virtual Strides Marathons. I love the Bee Healthy Medal. 2 days after I first saw the medal Missouri Star Quilt Co. had a special on Bumble bee fabric. It was so close to the bees on the medal, I had to order it- and made the attached wall hanging to hold my Bee Healthy Medal. It even has little bumble buttons on it for accent.

Sometimes I watch tutorial after tutorial, deciding on my next project, until my husband threatens to throw my computer out the window if he hears the MSCQ 'quack quack' one more time! I just had to make this tumbler flag to use on my porch for all the patriotic holidays. I quilted this project myself, which was a challenge.

I had started the project last fall and had it sandwiched before our out of state moved in December. The new guild I joined this month had an Open Sew last Thursday (01/26/17) and I got it quilted and the binding sewed on. All that is left is the label!
