Peggy's Quilt #20 - Spectrum Stars
Peggy's Quilt #20 - This is a quilt kit purchased from Craftsy and designed by Stacey Day {https://staceyinstitches.com/tag/spectrum-stars/}. I bought it in December 2016 in order to practice paper piecing, and finally got around to piecing it in October 2017. It was pretty fun. The kit had more than enough left-over fabric to add a 1" scrappy border as well as a 1.5" white border. The finished lap quilt size is 52"x63". The free-motion long-arm quilting was created by Lyn Durbin of Camlyn Quilts. The edge-to-edge pattern is called 'Swirls with a Tail'. The entire project took about 3 weeks to complete, not counting the time it was away for long-arm quilting. I love the vibrancy of the colors in Tula Pink’s True Colors and Birds and Bees remix fabric line. The batting is 80/20 cotton/poly, and the backside is another Tula Pink fabric that coordinates. I love quilting! Peggy (posted March 31, 2018)
