My Aunt Carmen is an amazing woman. As an angst-ridden teenager, she was the adult I could go to when I felt my parents just didn't understand. As an adult, she was the one I could call and cry on when my dad was sick and I didn't want to burden my mom with my fears. She has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders and a fantastic friend. This was a just because I love you gift. Hearing her joy over the phone when she called to thank me....just proves yet again, there is such joy in giving joy to others.

Each year I donate a quilt for the benefit of The Haven Network, a neonatal hospice. This is Good Night Irene -- basically a 16 patch and x's patch. Another favorite of mine that looks amazing when all assembled. This is Connecting Thread fabric.

My mom makes quilts for all of us; every couple, every grandchild, EVERYONE. This was my chance to make one for her. She LOVES the log cabin block and loves her some Jesus. This was the perfect combination.

I've always wanted to make this quilt. I had some leftover strips to use up and added some background fabric.

I was on a walk with my 17 year old son. We were traveling and we left the hotel room so my husband could sleep. My son was the first one to spot this charming quilt shop. at first he tried to distract me and get me to set my attention on the other side of he street. His next attempt resorted to begging me not to go inside. I found Scrap bags that I used to make this quilt at the lovely quilt shop in beautiful Montrose, Co.
